“Darkbats Alenwen & Patsy Wackelwitz” is a lovingly crafted fan-made series based on the online role-playing game “The Lord of the Rings Online” and “The Elder Scrolls Online”. In these worlds, players have the opportunity to develop their own characters and stories, and that is the core of these series. Born out of a passion for role-playing, the creators of “Darkbats Fantasy” have made it their mission to bring their experiences and adventures from the game to life in moving pictures – The team behind “Darkbats Fantasy” consists of three dedicated players who bring their different knowledge and skills to this project. Each of them contributes to making the stories surrounding the characters authentic and vivid. Darkbats Alenwen is a captivating and profound fanmade series set in the world of The Lord of the Rings Online (#HDRo, #Lotro). In this unique story, we dive into the realm of Middle-earth, but from a completely new and original perspective – The series is about a young, naive Elf named Alenwen, who is rather naive and clueless in character. During her adventures, Alenwen meets several interesting characters, including Skaldiv, a brave and whimsical Beorningen woman dedicated to protecting nature and her honeybees, and Frecha, a fun-loving hobbit lady from the Shire. But Skaldiv has taken a particular liking to her, and Alenwen tries to befriend her – Skaldiv is a Beorningen woman who is described as moody and headstrong. She has a fondness for Schnapps beer, which she likes to consume in large quantities. Skaldiv prefers to keep to herself and generally avoids socialising, unless it’s to sell her honey, where she is exceptionally more talkative. Her best friend is a dog called Erwin, who is always faithfully at her side..

Although she is initially annoyed by the Elf Alenwen and refuses to be her friend, the lively Elf grows on her over time. The more time she spends with Alenwen, the more she realises that she actually likes the company of the Elf, who she initially finds annoying, even if she is reluctant to admit it – so in the series we can observe how a friendship develops or not. In the second season, which has been published since winter 2023, stories from the childhood of the main characters Skaldiv and Alenwen are told. The original plan was to continue the story after the end of the first season, but due to technical difficulties, an alternative story was developed instead. The second season will comprise 6 episodes and promises an improved narrative and production quality.
