How was the trailer for Bragomur created?

How did the trailer for Bragomur come about? Tunvil Wintermond asked us if we would be interested. At first I thought: Oh no, I don’t fancy LOTRO, the eternal lags, the graphics. I had actually finished with the game as far as videos were concerned. Our Alenwen series was plagued with a lot of technical problems and in the end hardly anyone was interested anyway.

But I thought: hang on, taking a bit of a holiday from Patsy Wackelwitz, haha, so I thought: okay, I’ll do something completely garish if then. I was given free rein and I could let off steam. So I came up with the lyrics (Kerstin), created the music and already had the trailer in my head. Recordings made within a day, two clips taken from an old pool party session and off we went.

Everything was ready on Sunday, except for the recordings. So I travelled to Stadel in the evening and took some shots with a bit of orange vodka in my head. The next day, with a pear (headache pill rules), I was able to get started. Fortunately, I had time that day and was busy with the video from 8am to 5pm.

Nice that I had a cosy warmth of 34 degrees in the studio, the weather was totally right (not). Anyway, uploaded at 5pm, done. Cooled down on the sofa with the fan. Unfortunately, I felt like I’d heard the song 5,000 times, so I kept humming it in my head on the sofa, which meant I was resting my arse off.

Well, that’s how all the cheese came about. Brago and Tunvil were lucky that, firstly, I had time and, secondly, I really wanted to do something flashy, and to Brago’s credit: that’s exactly what he likes. That’s how I created this work.
