In a world full of unexpected twists and turns, a journey begins that combines old promises and new challenges. Days pass as the characters prepare for a momentous event. There is a tense atmosphere in the air, permeated by a mixture of expectation and caution. Every word, every decision carries weight and could significantly influence the course of events.

Farondis rides to the Beorninger House and meets Grimbeorn. The two greet each other warmly, but Farondis brings serious news. Alenwen has begun to remember the past, and Skaldiv accompanies her in her search for answers. Grimbeorn realises that the time has come to face the truth. Together they discuss how to deal with the situation.

When Alenwen and Skaldiv arrive, the reunion is emotional. Alenwen greets her mother with joy, while Skaldiv has mixed feelings towards Grimbeorn. She reproaches him for his long absence. During the conversation, it becomes clear that the two women are searching for the memories of their childhood. They enter the house to find out the whole truth.

Flashbacks show how Alenwen and Skaldiv played together as children. They romped through the woods, watched animals and had little adventures. Alenwen rode Brauni for the first time, Skaldiv bravely showed her how to approach Wargen, and together they secretly stole honey cakes. Alenwen had a special connection to animals, which fascinated Skaldiv. Their friendship was carefree until the day everything changed.

While the children played, a brutal battle raged in the distance. Elves and Beornings fought together against a dark threat. The parents of the two young women, Thador and Vemara, were among the brave warriors. But the battle took a tragic turn. The children returned from playing and saw their dead parents. The sight traumatised them deeply. Ursula, Skaldiv’s aunt, took the children to safety.

Farondis and Ursula made a difficult decision. To protect Alenwen and Skaldiv from the terrible memories, they gave them a medicine that erased their memories. The two were then separated to prevent the memories from returning. Grimbeorn was initially against it, but later accepted that it was the best solution at the time.

Now, years later, the memories are slowly returning. Skaldiv reacts angrily to the revelation, while Alenwen tries to understand her parents’ decision. Farondis asks for forgiveness. The situation is tense and Skaldiv leaves the house to think alone. She goes to the Carrock, where she reflects on the past. Alenwen follows her, but Skaldiv has already left. Later, she talks to her about her lost parents. They remember their parents’ words about life and death, which gives them comfort. Eventually, the two women reconcile and their friendship becomes even stronger.

Grimbeorn endeavours to build a better relationship with his daughter. Alenwen resolutely pursues her dream of touching people’s hearts with her voice. The episode ends with a humorous remark from Skaldiv and a warm farewell from Alenwen. The truth about the past has brought pain, but also growth and the opportunity to start anew. Skaldiv and Alenwen now know that together they can overcome any darkness.

Sisters at heart!
An end. One last sentence. A closed book. But stories are never alone. Sometimes they are shadows of themselves, mirrored worlds that call out to each other – and somewhere another reality answers. Unaware that their own story had long since begun.
